At any rate, Claire Forlani is proving she has acting chops. Too bad they waited until this late in the game to bring her character to the forefont. She can do more than serve as 'wise mother figure.' The slightly 'off' touch CF gives to Morgana impersonating Igraine is amusing to watch!
Arthur, have you really nothing better to do than stalk G? Glad that the conversation is semi-grownup.
I quite like that the show has Arthur and gang on a hunting expedition. Except....it should have been done earlier. This just feels "obligatory mythos nod' of the week. The scenery porn is nice though. I'm not sure about the music though. Gawain crossing a path to get closer to a deer didn't need drumbeats which abruptly stopped.
The little kid is adorable! And I would want Joseph Fiennes to tell me stories all day too. Too bad the writers save the best bits of storytelling for...telling a storytelling.
Arthur stalks G all day. Or when he doesn't, he thinks about her. You can't convince me he is suddenly wise to the ways of setting up a kingdom! I can the hear the writers plotting out their next show though. Council of Champions sounds quite exciting! Make it happen writers!
NOOOO! Igraine and Merlin's chemistry is being misdirected by this fake Igraine storyline. Merlin, use your wizarding senses and stop trusting! Lose control! Figure out she's not the real deal already! Oh, and the shot of Igraine looking out to the sea is one of the best shots ever from this series. Very beautiful!
I hate to say this, but this episode does feel like it could have come from one of the actual legends. From the body-changing to the hunting to the mystical creature stalking one person at night. Almost.

Igraine, are you incapable of thinking on your own? You keep asking the same bloody questions throughout this entire episode. Surely you can't brainstorm a bit? Even if Morgana stealing your body doesn't come to mind, sure you can THINK FOR YOURSELF stuff she might be plotting. Ugh. Morgana was so right about you.
Fake Igraine kicks real Igraine's butt. Except I miss Morgana. But kudos to CF for this great performance!
Igraine gets raped again. Don't like. We already know the soldiers are bawdy. They didn't have to go into this. I'm offended. And I really don't like how this show portrays Arthur vs Morgana when it comes to sex. It's very hypocritical and full of double standards. Morgana isn't right in telling the soldier to rape Igraine, but Arthur isn't right in treating G like she's his property (and the Camelot sexapade at Pendragon). Yet Arthur (and his men) always get a pass. It annoys. More than anything else, this is what bothers me the most about this series.
LOLLLLL! I'm soooooo glad Leontes is FINALLY finding out about G and Arthur.

Merlin ....knows...it's not really Igraine. Thank god. It stopped with the kiss. Mergraine would have ruined if the show went there with the sex and then Merlin figuring out she's a fake.
UGH!! The show did go there! I hope Igraine slaps Merlin senseless when she finds out.
So...I didn't rant about this one as much. It wasn't bad or lackluster, but it's not that strong. I think it's only getting more watchable because I have so few episodes and the things that annoyed are toned down (except the double standard sex which gets more offensive by the episode). Although I'd rather have clueless stupid baffoon Arthur than these dolts. (Now that Arthur is wise his idiocy has spread to the kingdom apparently.)
