On a much, much, much lighter note....

I'm LMAO at those new pics of Ed and Leighton feeding the ducks. Poor Ed! He clearly is NOT pleased. Leighton looks adorable though. But I suppose she's had 4 previous seasons to get used to feeding ducks so she's comfortable with them. But Ed....it's so obvious he doesn't want to be there.
Who would have thought the all-mighty toilet seat ship would reduced to the kitsch of ducks? Now, true, Nair fed ducks, but Nate is....a ducky guy. He's NICE. He would feed ducks to make Blair happy. Chair aren't supposed to be Nair, at least according the dictates of season 2. Of course, we all know Chair turned into Nair 2.0 but STILL.
And just when I thought I was going to get back on the GG bandwagon and enjoy the trainwreck plus Dair goodness, I take a closer look at the duck pond pics, and lo and behold! Blair looks pregnant!
I'm not going to watch Dan and Dair become props for the toilet seat ship! I'm not! So I'm backed away again.
BTW: When did GG become "The Upper Eastside Duggars"? Think about it. The characters are either looking for "The One," planning marriage or getting pregnant. It doesn't matter that they are barely out of high school. It's like Brenda Hampton took over the writing staff! And, of course, school and finding your identity and having a full, cultured life doesn't matter... Just when you have sex, who you are married to, and when you have that baby. To think, this show used to be the show that freaked out conservative groups with its promiscuity, drugs and drinking. (I suppose there is still a lot of that but it's not used to shock or scandalized but rather to reinforce the show's family values.) Now, it's like a promo for the perfect Republican family.
I'm not saying that there aren't conservative, traditional families on the UES. But, realistically? Come one. Blair, Nate, Dan and company shouldn't be acting like my midwestern peers when it comes to issues like feminism, family, parenting and promiscuity. They are worldly, travelled people. In real life, Blair would have aborted the demon spawn instead of angsting over whether it was Chuck's or Louis's. And none of them would be in rush to get married and/or have a baby.
